Claire Mooney
I've made four albums with Claire Mooney but the first one - Rocking The Boat - is dearest to my heart. We recorded it between 1988-89 at the community studio that was to become the Cutting Rooms in north Manchester, on a Tascam eight-track with two SM57s and a brutal Yamaha compressor. It came out on Big World, an offshoot of Playtime Records, and Claire went on BBC TV to talk about it. I thought I was Phil Spector.
